Title:
TPW 2-8-0 #16 - Toledo, Peoria & Western
Description:
Built by Baldwin Locomotive Works in 1914, #16 was one of only two H-2 class Consolidation type locos delivered. The two were nearly identical to a previous pair delivered in 1912 but with superheaters installled. They had 57" drivers and could develop a boiler pressure of 190 psi for its 22"x28" cylinders. Engine weight was 183,000 lb and the loco could apply a tractive effort of 38,397 lb. It and its sister served until retired in April, 1948. The day in 1935 is approximate.
