Description:
The Geaf 2/2 is a two-axle bimodal electric shunting locomotive of the Rhaetian Railway (RhB). The locomotives have a lithium-ion traction battery so that they can also be shunted away from electrified routes. With battery operation, the maximum speed is limited to 40 km/h (catenary 80 km/h), the power at the wheel to 200 kW (catenary 500 kW). The battery can be charged via the catenary or when braking with recuperation energy.
