Description:
GECX C44-9W units 4791, 4780, 4826 and 4804 were stored just north of Wabtec’s Fort Worth plant, on the west test track. These locomotives had been built for the BNSF in late 1998 and were retired in late 2019. They were returned to their lessor, Wells Fargo, in early 2020 and subsequently received GECX reporting marks. They arrived at the Fort Worth plant at the end of July 2021.
